Football Supporters Europe e.V (FSE) is an European not-for-profit member association of football fans and supporters’ organisations. FSE and its members support networking and exchange of experiences amongst European football fans’, represent football fans’ interests towards football governing bodies and are, amongst others, active in the field of campaigning on issues relevant to fans. Working alongside the FSE staff team, the post-holder will be involved in internal and external communication, public relations, reporting and research on various fan-related issues of interest for our membership.

Location: The FSE Coordination Office is based in Hamburg (Germany), where the post-holder is expected to be based.

Responsible to: FSE Coordinator/CEO

Salary (gross wages): from 15.960 EUR per annum / 20 hours per week
(expendable up to 30 hours per week - salary may vary based on experience and qualification)

Principal Responsibilities: the main tasks of the successful candidate will be to manage the communication of FSE (internal/external), support the CEO in overviewing the organisation’s public relations, produce narrative reports on FSE’s activities, lead research on fan activism and public policies in Europe.
This includes in particular areas of work such as:

• Composition of press releases and website articles
• Administration of the FSE website, social media channels and newsletter
• Production and administration of FSE publications
• Representation of the organisation at various events
• Composition of narrative reports
• Collection of data, testimonies and reports on fan-related activities and public policies

The tasks should be carried out under the supervision of the CEO, in association with the FSE staff team and other members or representatives of the organisation, when applicable. The work requires cooperation with existing partners and volunteers from the FSE membership.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience in Communications / Public Relations / Research in Human Sciences
• Native English speaker or proficient language skills in English
• Experience in working with football fans, governing bodies and public institutions
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Proficiency with Social media (Facebook and Twitter)
• Experience in producing printed publications
• Ability to travel

Desired Skills/Experience

• Additional language skills
• Experience in the Joomla content management system
• Experience in football-related communication
• Experience and/or understanding of volunteering in the field of football
